Spring is nearing which means, I’m getting the itch to shop again. During the blah months of January and February, I barely feel the need to shop – it’s all clothes you can’t wear yet, and tired leftover sweaters that didn’t get bought up during the holidays.
But, spring nears, the colors brighten up, and I start buying up everything for my favorite season! When it comes to spring shopping, I always gravitate to color. After the gray days of winter, you just need it! So, I ordered a bunch of things from Old Navy last week, and had every intention of keeping a lot of it! However, there were only two winners from the bunch, the top and jeans you see in this post.
Old Navy Spring Petites
I’ve had several misses from Old Navy over the years, so I try hard to be careful with what I choose to keep. By misses, I mean the item was really cute the first day, but after one wash there wasn’t much point in wearing it anymore. Unfortunately, some of the things I ordered like this top, and this top, lacked in quality in my opinion. So they went back. Not that I expect a lot from Old Navy’s price point, but I do expect to be able to wear something more than once.
Petite Yellow Top
This pretty yellow top, on the other hand, is a winner! The fabric reminds me of another ON top I’ve had in my closet for years, so it has lasting power. Plus the fit is really cute. It not only comes in this bright yellow print, there are other prints and solids as well. I’m wearing a petite xs for size reference.
Petite White Jeans
The jeans were a pleasant surprise. I didn’t need another pair of white jeans, but the buttons on this pair were just too cute to pass up. When I tried them on, I was pleasantly surprised by the fit and the details! First, the pockets are nude, finally, someone realized white pockets show through white pants! Next, these jeans are made out of some magic material that slims the hips and booty. My biggest issue with white denim is how wide I feel like my backside looks in them. I find myself wanting to cover up when I wear them. This pair, however, slims the backside like no other. Mine are petite, but after posting this picture on Instagram, I realized the petites were no longer online – I so hope they come back!
Other items I ordered worth mentioning are these flats, and this dress. The flats were so adorable, they were just too big for me. I would have kept them if they fit. The dress was also really cute and well made (it was lined). It was just too big for me. I wanted the navy and white stripe so I took a chance and ordered a regular size. I can’t say if the petite would have fit better, but the regular was way too big.
