As much as I love Target’s clothes, the fit is really hit or miss for me. I find that in general, their clothes tend to run a little bit big so aside from the random top or t-shirt, there aren’t a lot of clothing options for me there. However, I’ve recently found multiple pairs of shorts that are great so that feels like a win to me!

Petite-Friendly Target Shorts
Sizing Reference: I’m 4’10” and around 105lbs.
Pull-On Shorts
A pair of light pull-on shorts feel amazing on a hot humid day. I have this style in two different colors – the pink version I’m wearing here and a blue and white striped version I’ve worn in this post and this post. I’m wearing them in XS and they fit well.

Gauze Shorts
I have a deep love for gauze material. It’s soft, breathable and the crinkly texture makes wrinkles a distant worry. I’m wearing this pair in XS and they fit me well. You could also pair these with a gauze top for a breezy combo.

Denim Shorts
I’m often asked for budget options for some of the more expensive things I share (like my favorite J.Crew shorts). This pair is a great option if you love those J.Crew shorts but don’t love the price. They’re the same rigid denim and I love the darker wash. The rise isn’t quite as high on this pair and they do have a little bit of distressing. I prefer the clean look of my J.Crew pair, but the distressing is so minimal on this pair that it’s not really a big deal. I’m wearing them in 00 and they fit well. They also come in other washes.
