Every summer I’m asked to share beach vacation outfits and I’m always happy to oblige. We’re heading to the beach next week, so it felt like the perfect time to put together a few outfits that will be going in my suitcase.
Denim Dress
Since the weather has officially started hitting the 90s, I’ve been living in dresses. I’m taking quite a few with me. I’m sharing a couple here, but I also have more ideas coming your way in another post. This first dress is from Old Navy. I love the oversized breezy fit in Petite XS. The only bummer about this dress is you need a strapless bra, which isn’t my favorite, but doable. In case you need a recommendation, I like this one.

White Dress
I first shared this Amazon dress in a resort wear post in February. It sold out at the time in the size I’m wearing (small) but it’s back again! Snag it while you can, it really is surprisingly well made and comfortable – bonus you can wear a regular bra with it!

T-Shirt Dress
I have come to love a midi or maxi dress so much. All the comfort of a dress and you don’t have to worry about keeping the skirt pulled down over your backside. This dress is an absolute dream to wear. I wore it the other day to an amusement park with my kids and was comfortable for hours of walking. I’m wearing it in Petite XS and it runs true to size.

Summer Shorts
The next two outfits are both from my summer capsule wardrobe, I’m just sharing the two, but several of my capsule items are coming with me on vacation. The shorts in this first outfit are true to size in XS. They’re comfortable and roomy without being too thin and short like some pull-on shorts. The tank top is an inexpensive basic that fits me well in Petite XS. It’s also not see-through with nude undergarments. My bag doubles as a beach bag as well.

White Top
I share this white top a lot on the blog because it’s truly one of my favorite things to wear. The light gauze fabric is breathable and easy to wear on its own or layered over a t-shirt or a dress. I also use it as a swimsuit coverup. The shorts are another top pick of mine. I didn’t realize I would love a 4″ inseam as much as I do. I have the white pair as well and the white pair runs large, while this denim pair runs true to size.

Jeans
You know you always have to be prepared for all scenarios when packing for a trip, so a pair of summer-weight denim is also making it into my bag. Great for a day the temperatures drop or a cooler dinner out. These jeans are light and stretchy, I’m wearing them in my true size Petite 24. The top has an adjustable tie in the back, but you have to wear a strapless bra with it.
