This week’s feature is a waist tie dress courtesy of The Shopping Bag, an online store where you can get anything from clothes to home accents to beauty supplies. While temperatures in RVA are now starting to get into the uncomfortable lows (below freezing at night), when I received this cutie we were still in the milder temperatures of fall. So, remember how much I value comfort? Since this soft little number has that sporty look it totally rocks either with a pair of Converse or oxford sneakers making it oh so comfortable. Adding a utility jacket helps to take the chill off and make this dress more fall ready. Now, I know some may be thinking: “White shoes after labor day?! What-the-what?!?” I am pretty sure that old-school rule is outdated, so white shoes I still wear. On a similar note, I like seeing that Keds have made a comeback. The last time I wore a pair of Keds I was in elementary school (my shoes are the generic version but there isn’t much difference except for the label). Come to think of it the last time I wore Converse sneakers was in elementary school as well. I remember I loved my white low top Converse and I wore them into the ground. I actually tried out white Converse to wear with this dress first, but the size I had to get made my feet feel huge! I am determined to find a pair that is a half sized smaller and hopefully won’t make me look like I am all feet. Anyways this little flashback to the school yard is what inspired the photo location for today’s post. That and because I am still very much a kid at heart.
