At first, I was a little uncomfortable with the combination, feeling like dresses were meant to be dressed up, but I’ve since grown to love this trend! I typically wear sneakers with skirts or dresses that are above the knee, but I think they can work with a maxi dress as well. Keep reading to see four ways I wear this combination.

With a Maxi Dress
Although I mostly like to wear sneakers with mini dresses and skirts, it works with maxi length as well! If you can show a little ankle that will help it not make you look super short.

With a Mini Dress
My favorite way to wear sneakers with a dress is with a mini dress. I made this dress more casual by adding a denim jacket and a casual bag. The dress is true to size, I’m wearing it in Petite XS.

With a T-Shirt Dress
A casual t-shirt dress easily goes with a pair of sneakers. I’m wearing this dress in particular in Petite XS and it fits well overall, with some gaping at the armholes, I personally wear a cami under it. The jacket I’m linking is a similar option.

With a Skirt
