I love sneakers all season. I don’t wear my sneakers in the winter when it’s wet of course but other than that they’re fair game. I put together two posts with a pair of sneakers – one with a high-top Converse (this post) and the next with a pair of Veja Campos sneakers (stay tuned for that one).

Outfits for Winter With Sneakers Pt. One
Sizing Reference: I’m 4’10” and my bust, waist, and hip measurements are 32″, 24″, and 36″. My typical inseam is 24-25″. All of the outfits are unaltered and I list my sizing beside each item to help you compare and shop online.
I recently bought a pair of high-top Converse with the appeal of wearing warm tall socks with them. In the past, I tried a pair of platform converse and felt like I was wearing a pair of clown shoes, so I kind of passed on them altogether since then. However, I’m since reformed and love that you can dress these warmly and that they pair well with straight jeans.
With Wide-Leg Jeans
Before you send me messages about wide-leg jeans and long coats not being “petite-friendly” I’m going to go ahead and tell you (nicely) – keep it to yourself, please. Just because you’re short doesn’t mean you shouldn’t be able to wear a trend that you want to wear. It will look different on you than someone who has longer legs – but that’s ok! So, for my petite friends who have been asking me for wide-leg options, this one’s for you. Without the coat, I have the sweater tucked into my high-rise jeans which does help elongate these short legs. For the warmth factor, I added the coat! Fit notes on the jeans – they’re not petite and aren’t actually meant to be wide-leg jeans but that’s how they fit me! They’re a crop from AG and they have a fantastic hip-hugging fit. I’m wearing them in my true size (24) but you may want to size up, they are snug on me in that size.

With a Blazer
I know this outfit won’t work for all climates but I thought of my friends down South who don’t get the sweater and coat weather that a lot of us get in the winter. I’m wearing a pair of petite boyfriend jeans from Good American in this outfit. Good American is on the pricey side but I heard so many rave reviews I had to try them for myself. The verdict – they’re great! This pair is true to size and has a roomy boyfriend fit with a mid-rise. The denim is rigid and thick.

With leggings
I stole my 11-year-old’s socks for this outfit. They were the perfect height with the sneakers to add warmth and comfort without too much bulk to my ankle. This is a comfortable winter outfit, perfect for staying warm when you’re on the go. I also styled this outfit in my Reel with a blazer coat instead, but failed to take a picture of it! So, I’m also sharing the link to that coat here.
