I’ve been making my way through all of the requests I received for spring. Since I’ve made it through most of the time-sensitive topics (graduation, weddings, spring events) I’m finally making it to some of the workwear posts you requested. One of those requests being outfits for work with sneakers (a.k.a. – smart casual outfits)! I also have a bigger request 10 Items 20 Outfits for Summer (workwear included) coming up next week.

Outfits for Work with Sneakers
My Sizing: I’m 4’10” and my bust, waist, and hip measurements are 32″, 24″ and 36″. My typical inseam is 24-25″. The clothes shown are unaltered and show how they fit me right from the store. I list my sizing beside each item to help you compare when shopping online.
With Navy
These navy pants from Ann Taylor are cotton, so they’re relaxed and a comfortable weight for summer. The cropped length works great with sneakers. In terms of sizing, I find the pants to be true to size and wear them in Petite 00. They do loosen some with wear, but they don’t bag out. The blazer is slightly oversized in Petite XXS. Overall, this blazer runs large, so I recommend sizing down.

Although we’re moving into warm summer weather, a long cardigan can still be a great option for the office. I paired it with a sleeveless button-down top so you can drop the warmer cardigan when you step outdoors. The pants in this outfit are the Cameron Crop Pants from J.Crew. They have light comfortable stretch and a mid-rise. I size up in this pair to Petite 0.

I sang the praises of these pants in a previous post. To date, they’re the only pair of light pants I feel truly comfortable in. They have a silky inner lining that keeps the pants from clinging to you and being overly transparent/showing every imperfection like light pants often do. They are true to size and I wear them in Petite 00. The blazer is soft and stretchy. I’m wearing it in Petite 2 and it is slightly oversized on me.

Depending on your workplace, you may want to opt for dark wash denim instead (you may like this straight-leg version). If you go for this pair, I’m wearing them in regular sizing in my true size, 24. They have a high 11″ rise and are rigid, with no stretch. The blazer is the Willa Blazer from J.Crew. The exact blazer is true to size for me, but low in stock in Petite, so I will link another option for you.
