Three Refreshing Fruit Teas for Summer

This post is sponsored by Celestial Seasonings but the content and opinions expressed here are my own.

I have a thing for front porch sitting. Growing up my parents had a porch swing on their front porch and I would spend hours just swinging away. We don’t have a porch swing at our house (although I wish we did) but we do have a set of rocking chairs, and the perfect view of sunrise and sunset. So come warmer weather, you can find me sitting right here, watching my boys and enjoying the peace and quiet. The only thing that could make this little spot even sweeter, is a glass of sweet tea, or unsweetened if you’re into that, but I’m from the south and we like our tea sweet.

Three Fruit Teas for Summer

If I’m going to have a glass of tea, it’s typically traditional black tea with a little sugar, but fruit just ups the fresh and fun summer feel. I’m not a cocktail kind of girl, so I could see sipping one of these fruity concoctions by the pool instead.

Each tea is made with a Celestial Seasonings blend, that I picked up at Walmart. Another place that brings back childhood memories. Who wants to go to the Walmart and get something?!

Celestial Seasonings teas have a nice strong flavor and no caffeine, so all you get is great flavor. If you don’t add anything to them like I did, they’re sugar free and calorie free too! But I already told you I sugared mine up. They’re great by the glass and by the pitcher, and I made them both ways to show you how.

Peach Pineapple Tea

Peaches and pineapples are the epitome of summer. They’re sweet and bright, and go together beautifully. This tea is very easy to make, all you’ll need is a little bit of pineapple juice and few bags of Celestial Seasonings Country Peach Passion.

Ingredients

(by the glass)

  • 3-4 ounces pineapple juice
  • Fresh pineapple for garnish

Directions

  1. Start by boiling water.
  2. Put two tea bags in a glass, and pour the boiling water over them.
  3. Allow the tea to steep for 5-6 minutes.
  4. Fill a glass with ice.
  5. Fill the glass half full with pineapple juice. In my case that was about 3-4 ounces.
  6. Fill the rest of your glass with tea.
  7. Garnish and enjoy!

Raspberry Zinger Tea

This tea is a blend of hibiscus and raspberry. For the single glass serving I used simple syrup that I made myself. Other than that all you’ll need is fresh berries of your choice, a little ice and a couple of Celestial Seasonings Raspberry Zinger tea bags.

(by the glass)

  • Fresh mixed berries of choice

Directions

  1. Start by boiling water.
  2. Put two tea bags in a glass, and pour the boiling water over them.
  3. Allow the tea to steep for 5-6 minutes.
  4. Mash/stir mixed berries in the bottom of the glass and add simple syrup.
  5. Fill the rest of the glass with ice.
  6. Pour the tea on top and stir.
  7. Garnish and enjoy!

Wild Berry Zinger

This tea is my husband’s favorite from the taste test, so I made it by the pitcher. I like having it made by the pitcher a little more than by the glass because you can refrigerate it and have it on hand for ice cold servings as you need them! Plus since you sweeten this as you make it, you won’t need the simple syrup.

Ingredients

(by the pitcher)

  • 4 cups of water
  • 1/2 cup – 1 cup of sugar
  • Fresh mixed berries of choice

Directions

  1. Start by boiling 4 cups of water with 1/2 to 1 cup of sugar, depending on how sweet you like it.
  2. Once the sugar has dissolved and the water is boiling, put six tea bags in the pot and remove from heat.
  3. Cover and let it steep for 10 minutes.
  4. Pour into a pitcher and fill any remaining space with cold water.
  5. Put in in the refrigerator for later.
  6. When ready to serve, fill a glass with ice and top with mixed berries.
  7. Pour the tea on top.
  8. Garnish and enjoy!

In case you’re a visual kind of person, I made a quick video also.

All of the teas are equally easy and equally delicious. Go ahead and liven your summer up with fresh fruit summer tea!
