Winter Wedding Guest Dresses
My Sizing: I’m 4’10” and my bust, waist, and hip measurements are 32″, 24″ and 36″. My typical inseam is 24-25″. The clothes shown are unaltered and show how they fit me right from the store. I list my sizing beside each item to help you compare when shopping online.
Warm It Up
First, every time I post a dress in the winter I’m asked at least a few times how to make the outfit warmer. My answer is always coats and tights. All of these dresses would also look great with black tights and black heels. You can add a cropped faux fur coat to wear the entire event or a long coat or faux fur coat to take off once you’re inside the event.
What to Wear Under
Anytime you’re wearing a slim-fitting dress, a pair of Spanx shorts can do wonders for the fit and shape of the dress. I prefer the regular Spanx shorts as opposed to the higher power style which is too high for petites. If you’re small-chested like me (B cup and under) Pepper makes a strapless bra that I love.
Red Dress
This pleated dress is a beautiful full-length option. I normally size up in petite Abercrombie dresses, so I went with Petite XS in this dress instead of Petite XXS, which would be my true size at other brands. However, I think this dress runs a bit large and would be a better fit all around in Petite XXS. In case you’re wondering, I used a steamer to remove any wrinkles.

Purple Dress
This dress has beautiful draping and the sizing is the same for this one as the red dress. I would go down a size from your usual Abercrombie size (if you’re used to shopping there) or go with your usual size. I love this dark purple, but it also comes in other colors.

Green Dress
This dress has the best fit of all three dresses. It fits me perfectly in Petite XS (my true size at Abercrombie). The dress has stretch to it and stays up well without the optional straps.
