Women’s Health Month – Four Products For Better Health

This post is sponsored by BabbleBoxx.com on behalf of Single Edition Media
May is Women’s Health Month. Woohoo! When you think of your health, what do you think of first? Do you think of losing weight and eating well? Or maybe you think about your health as a whole; annual check-ups,  sleeping well and protecting yourself from the sun. I like to think of my health as the latter; the whole person. So when BabbleBoxx wanted to send me a box full of products aimed at women’s health, I was excited to review them.

Four Products For Better Women’s Health

In my box was a Healthy Choice – Adobo Chicken Bowl, a Mio SLICE Heart Rate + Activity Tracker – Featuring PAI, ARM & HAMMER Peroxicare Toothpaste and a 23andMe Ancestry Kit.

Four Products For Better Women's health

Healthy Choice Power Bowl –  Adobo Chicken Bowl

First up, the Healthy Choice Power Bowl – Adobo Chicken Bowl. Healthy Choice has been around for years, but they’ve come a long way. I used to think of frozen meals are unappetizing, full of sodium and bland. Not anymore! Healthy Choice Power Bowls are made with all natural ingredients and are the perfect balance of veggies, natural proteins and whole grains. My Adobo Chicken Bowl had a latin flavor with antibiotic free chicken, vegetables, brown & red rice, red quinoa and black barley, chili sauce and roasted pepitas. The bowl looked and tasted fresh and had 26g of protein! Plus, their bowls are now made from plant-based fiber, no more plastic. I enjoyed my bowl and would totally grab one again for a quick, healthy meal.

Mio SLICE Heart Rate + Activity Tracker – Featuring PAI

The Mio Slice Heart Rate and Activity Tracker is much like many of the popular fitness trackers you see on the market today. You wear it on your wrist, day and night and the Mio tracks your activity, heart rate, calories burned and sleeping patterns. Mio is unique in that it calculates your PAI or Personal Activity Intelligence – your personal score for optimal health. PAI is calculated based on your age, gender, resting heart rate and maximum heart rate. Mio recommends staying active and achieving an average PAI of 100 over 7 days.

The Mio Slice syncs with most phones through an app, where you can read your results and keep an eye on your progress. It will also alert you of calls and texts, which I thought was pretty cool!

Mio Fitness Tracker

I’m still getting acquainted with my Mio Slice but I love the challenge a fitness tracker or heart rater monitor gives me. Every day I want to push a little harder to see how many calories I can burn or just how many steps I can take! Plus, fitness trackers like the Mio Slice, offer you a picture of your own personal calorie expenditure, making it easy to track your needed calories to either maintain, lose or gain weight. Whatever your goal may be.

ARM & HAMMER Peroxicare Toothpaste

When you think about you health, don’t forget your pearly whites. Not only will a deep cleaning toothpaste like ARM & HAMMER Peroxicare toothpaste., whiten your smile, it will also help you maintain healthy gums and fresh breath. I really like the baking soda formula of ARM & HAMMER Peroxicare toothpaste, because it is gentle, but I can actually feel it working. I have really sensitive teeth, so sometimes whitening formulas leave me with pain and sensitivity. Thankfully, this formula is gentle and deep cleaning. I would buy it again.

healthy teeth, healthy you

23andMe Ancestry Kit

A common question I get is, “what nationality are you?” The only answer I’ve ever known to give is, Native American. Native American runs deep on my mom’s side, but I know I am so much more than that! I have always been interested in a DNA test, to see just what my ancestry background is. The 23andMe Ancestry Kit, was so easy to use.
23andMe DNA Ancestry Kit

I went online using my phone and created an account. All I had to do was put in the barcode on the test tube in my kit, spit in the tube, seal it up and mail it in the prepaid shipping box. It took literally 5 minutes to do. I can’t wait to see my results, don’t worry, I’ll be sharing them with you!

23 and Me DNA Testing

23andMe looks at over 31 populations worldwide and gives you a percentage breakdown by region, including eastern Asia, Sub-Saharan Africa, Europe and more. They trace your ancestry timeline and can tell you when different ancestries were introduced into your DNA. So cool! The Ancestry Kit is $20 off through 5/14 through this link. I tried the Ancestry Kit, but 23andMe offers many kits to test different areas of your health too!

These all look like great products to try. I’ve always wanted a fitness tracker but have never actually taken the plunge and got one. Also, the DNA test looks so cool, I can’t wait to find out more about what you learned! I’d love to know more about my ancestry as well.
