I could go on and on about this orange skirt or this new chambray I picked up to feed my chambray obsession. But, what I really want to talk about, is the boy behind the camera.
He opens doors for me and tells me I’m pretty. He laughs at my funny faces and silly jokes. On most days, I like to think I’m one of his favorite people.
Sometimes he forgets how to share and sometimes he pushes miniature grocery carts a little too aggressively through Kroger.
He finds wonder and enjoyment in small things and thinks everything Daddy does is the best.
He is three, going on four and calls me mommy.
He’s had a fascination with taking pictures for a while now and loves snapping pics with my iPhone, so I thought why not give him a go at a real camera. Call me crazy, but he loved it and the results were pretty impressive if you ask me. Now, he hasn’t stopped asking to take pictures, which is ok with me, taking this whole blogging thing to a new level of fun. At least until he grows tired of it or moves on to more exciting things to photograph. 🙂

Brooke, I love this! Not only the adorable outfit but that your lil guy is your photographer. Wow, I think it’s awesome! My oldest son is my photographer & it will get passed down when he goes to college next year (sad face). What a precious thing to share together and he is GOOD at it!! 😉
He did a fantastic job with the photos! I love the print of your skirt!

I think we have a professional photographer in the making. Very impressed with his shots 🙂 Love that skirt, it’s so pretty!
lol I need a photographer because my husband cares not what my pics look like (like maybe let me know my bra strap is showing?!). You’re making me consider handing the phone over to my 2.5 year old lol
I love that your son took these! How fun to have him involved with the blog. You skirt and shirt combo here is so fun.

OH my gosh, so cute! I don’t know if I could trust an almost 4 year old with a real camera 🙂 I think I know what he’s getting for Christmas!
Your son is a great photographer – and you are so trusting and such a good mother to let him do that!

Thanks Mia!
Oh that is too cute! She is going to be one well dressed little lady like her momma!
Thanks Jaymie!
Thanks Lisa! Im glad it turned out well, I was a little nervous handing him the camera, but he surprised me!
Haha I know I felt a little crazy letting him do it, but he loved it. He will for sure be getting his own and less expensive camera for Christmas!
That one was my favorite! It’s easier to be a little more carefree when he was my only audience 🙂
That is the cutest skirt!!!
Red Reticule
Thank you Marta! I’ll have to tell him everyone loved his pictures.
Thanks Rachel!
Thanks Megan! Old navy showed this skirt as being worn on the hips and it didn’t do it justice, much prettier in person and worn a little higher.
Haha how funny. I know that day is coming, I’m already starting to lose my cool factor with him.
Thanks Amy! Who knows maybe one day he will be a photographer!
Thanks girl!
Thanks Shauna!
It makes it a litter easier to get things done by having him involved 🙂
Haha sounds like my husband! At least the little ones will just snap away until something good comes out!
Thanks Cynthia!
Aw thanks Blaire!
Thanks Jill!

I’m keeping my old DSLR camera for this very reason! A niceish camera, but it’s 10 years old at this point, so if something happens to it then I won’t be heart broken.
I adore your shorter hair Brooke and that skirt is beyond pretty!
