I love a lot of things in my closet, but one thing I love the most, is this chambray top. I bought this top from J. Crew Factory…three years ago? I think it’s been that long. Let me tell you, it’s still the bomb. J. Crew Factory still sells a similar version, because chambray is classic, and goes with everything. If you don’t own a chambray top yet, what are you waiting for?!
Chambray and Denim Outfit
I wear my chambray top with everything; skirts, pants of every color, and even sometimes as a topper over a t-shirt with a pair of leggings when I’m running around with my boys. This particular day, I grabbed my trusty chambray and this pair of jeans, that are also becoming something I love, oh so much. If you couldn’t already tell by how much I wear them on the blog. They’re new to me so I can’t speak on how well they hold up, over say a few years, but I can tell you so far, so good!
To finish off the look I wore a pair of neutral flats and my long halogen cardigan. Wash after wash, this cardigan holds up, which is an amazing feat for a sweater, in my opinion. My particular sweater has sold out in most sizes, however, Nordstrom has put out a heavier, wool blend version for winter that I can’t wait to try.
Sam Edelman Rae Flats at Zappos
I’ve been on a major hunt for fall shoes. I can’t tell you how many pairs I have bought and returned just to find the perfect pair. I’ve tried flats and booties mostly, and have only come to love the pair of flats I’m wearing in this post. I always go back to flats, they’re my absolute favorite to wear. This particular pair is Sam Edelman and are the perfect neutral shade against my skin tone. I ordered mine from Zappos on a Thursday afternoon and by Friday they were on my front porch! They run relatively true to size, but do take some time to break in. I got a couple of blisters from my first wear which left me rocking some bandaids on my heels for the next couple of days. It was cute. Totally worth it though. Since suede can be a little tricky to keep, I spray all of my suede shoes down with a suede protector prior to wearing. I mostly use Kiwi Suede Protector, but just ordered a bottle of Scotchgard Suede and Nubuck Protector to replace it. I love Kiwi, and will have to let you know how the Scotchgard holds up. I know Scotchgard did wonders for my white kitchen chairs, hopefully it will have the same effect on my suede shoes!
