Put me in a plaid shirt, cable sweater and a great pair of camel colored boots and I am ready to go! I’m pretty stoked that plaid has decided to make a comeback this season because its the perfect fall clothing item. This combo can take you from a day at the pumpkin patch to an evening on the lawn jamming to some awesome bluegrass tunes or a night of hanging out by a cozy fire complete with s’mores and stargazing.
On another (sort of unrelated) note, I am starting to get SUPER excited for Halloween! This plaid shirt was originally going to play a part in my costume this year as I was originally planning on dressing up as a scarecrow. I have since changed my mind at least a half a dozen times, currently settling on Dracula’s wifey (since the hubbs is going as you guessed it, Wolverine…no just kidding – Dracula). I love getting dressed up for Halloween but what I am more excited for this year is dressing up my house in Halloween decorations for all the cute little (and not so little) trick-or-treaters who will be coming through. This partly explains why we decided to choose costumes on the spookier side – to you know, add to the effect. Even my dog will look the part as a giant spider. This will be my first year in my adult life that I will get to have trick-or-treaters which is the reason why I am so pumped. I remember how much I loved it growing up so I look forward to sharing that enjoyment from the other side this year.
