I saved the trickiest style of boots for petites for last, knee-high boots! Finding the perfect shaft height and width isn’t an easy task and the reality is what works for me, may still not work for some of you. I can wear knee-high boots that have around a 15″ shaft height and under. I tried several for this post and landed on three that worked well. I’m often asked if I have other options to share that are slimmer, less expensive, etc and unfortunately in the case of knee-high boots, with such a tricky fit, I can only vouch for these options that I tried.

Fall Boots Series: Knee-High Boots
My Sizing: I’m 4’10” and my bust, waist, and hip measurements are 32″, 24″ and 36″. My typical inseam is 24-25″. The clothes shown are unaltered and show how they fit me right from the store. I list my sizing beside each item to help you compare when shopping online. Unless otherwise noted, I find the items to fit true to size.
Casual Knee-High Boots
I searched high and low for a pair of low-heeled knee-high boots that worked for me. I wanted a pair of riding boots that had a small heel so they weren’t completely flat, but not too high, because I wanted them to be overall casual. I found my perfect pair in the Monterey Tall Boots from Madewell. These boots have a 14.5″ shaft height and come up about an inch under my knee. They have a 14.5″ shaft circumference as well which is also a nice fit for me. For reference, I would consider my calf width to be average and not super slim. They’re true to size and although they are an investment, I think they’re worth it! I’ll also keep an eye out for sales through the holiday season on these to share with you.

Dressy Knee-High Boots
If you’re looking for a pair of knee-high boots that are easy to dress and maybe wear to work, I found two that I think work well. First, the Lanvan boots from Steve Madden. These boots have a 15″ shaft and 15″ shaft circumference. They’re slouchy, so they fit well in height, but if your calves are slimmer or you’re looking for a close fit, these may not be the best choice for you. I would wear these boots in all of the above outfits, but here are two other ways I would wear them:

If you’re looking for a slim-fitting pair of knee-high boots you may like this pair from Ann Taylor. These boots have a 14″ shaft height and a 13″ shaft circumference. They’re nice and slim, great for wearing with skirts, dresses, and even wide-leg trousers for an extra warm outfit for work. Here are two outfit ideas:
