Gingham is always in style if you ask me, well at least I think so, ask me again in five years. But, one thing is for sure, it’s really in at the moment and is set to be big player this spring. Being that I love this print, you can assume, I’m pretty excited to score some new loves and bring out some of my old favorites. Back when I was having my closet shopping day, I found this shirt that had become a little hidden, thanks to the fact that I’m a hoarder and my closet is way too full. Yes, I’m guilty of not letting go. I try to purge my closet, but seriously, I have a denim jacket that I’ve had since like the 7th grade or high school and it’s still fabulous, I still wear it. My closet struggles are all too real. Every time I do purge and take things to the Goodwill, I spend the drive home mourning their loss and second guessing my decision. I’m sometimes a little embarrassed to admit that I’m not the best at letting go of things. Especially when I go to Erica’s house and her closet is so organized and streamlined, I always feel a little bit guiltier. Oh, man tell me I’m not alone in this!
Since the shirt was a little hidden, I had almost forgotten about it and was really excited to stumble upon it again. The color and print scream spring and make me think of warmer days and St. Patrick’s Days of the past where I donned this shirt. I know it’s only almost February, but this time every year I start to get really excited about the spring and the changing seasons. Chances are with our weather, we will have a giant snow storm between now and spring, but a girl can dream that it’s just around the corner.
