New Year’s Eve is just around the corner and Erica and I have plans to go glam! We don’t get out too often, so to say we are excited to get a little dressed up and #FaceTheHoliday is an understatement. But, first things first, let’s talk about the smoky eyes we will be rocking. I’m going to show you a little tutorial on myself and then later you’ll see the look on both Erica and I!
{Eyeshadow – NEUTROGENA Long Wear Eye Shadow + Built-in Primer Pallete in Soft Taupe // Liner – inner eye – NEUTROGENA Nourishing Eye Liner in Cosmic Black // Lashes – NEUTROGENA Healthy Volume Mascara in Carbon Black // Lips – NEUTROGENA MoistureSmooth Color Stick in Juicy Peach}
I’ve mentioned before that I love to play around with my makeup, so when Erica gave me the opportunity to do her makeup for our night out as well, I was really excited! I wanted to make sure the look would last through the night and be super easy and simple, so I picked up a NEUTROGENA Long Wear Eye Shadow + Built-in Primer palette at Wal-Mart in Soft Taupe for our eyes. This shadow has a built in primer, so we won’t have to worry about creasing and provides wear for up to 12 hours, so we won’t have to worry about having coon eyes by the end of the night. Plus, I love using palettes in general because the colors are complimentary, which makes it really easy to blend and complete the look!
First, I started out with my typical concealer and foundation routine and filled in my brows. Then I applied the lid color all over the eyelid and wrapped it around to the corner of my eye. I skipped using a primer because the shadow already has primer built in. Then I spread the crease color through my crease with a fluffy brush and blended it out to the end of my eyebrow and back down under my eyes as well. Then I added the brow highlight color to the arches of my brows. I finished up with the bottom color on the outer corner of my eyes, that I blended out toward the end of my brows and then back under the eyes, close to the lash line.
Next, I applied NEUTROGENA Nourishing Eye Liner in Cosmic Black around my water line and the inside of my upper lash line.
Next, I applied a gel liner my upper lash line and really made my eyes pop and lashes look 400x fuller with NEUTROGENA’s Healthy Volume Mascara in Carbon Black. Their formula is full of lash conditioning ingredients like olive oil. I love a makeup that does double duty!
Finally I added NEUTROGENA’s MoistureSmooth Color Stick in Juicy Peach to my lips to finish off the look. NEUTROGENA’s MoistureSmooth Color Sticks are made with moisturizing mango and shea butter. It makes your lips super soft, shiny and it smells amazing; just like peaches.
Now on to those outfits!
Whatever you do for New Year’s Eve, Erica and I hope you’re staying safe and staying glam.
Happy New Year!
