Y’all, I changed my mind, if summertime were a dress, it would be this watermelon dress. I love to shop J. Crew Factory because it’s affordable, adorable and it fits me, thanks for the petites! I was browsing online a few weeks ago and this watermelon dress immediately caught my eye. I’ve been in love with all of this summer’s fruit prints, but until I purchased this dress, didn’t own any myself. Now, I can officially say, I’m rocking the fruit trend.

When I saw this dress online, I expected it to be a cotton blend. Yes, I could have been more thorough and read the description, but I’m too antsy for that. I was surprised when it arrived, it was polyester and had more of a silky feel. Ladies who know their fabrics, don’t judge me, I call fabrics by how they feel. The straps are adjustable, which y’all know I love. I am not blessed up top, but a friend of mine who is, said she loved that this dress kept her covered! So it works well for ladies of any size up top. Fit wise, I felt this dress was perfect. The waistband is elastic in the back, which helps with the fit around the ribcage. I tend to have issues with fit in that area, so I was happy about that! Quality wise, I felt this dress was so, so. It’s not an expensive dress and you get what you pay for. I find J. Crew Factory in general to be hit or miss with quality. Although I have been lucky, most things I buy from there only last a season. However, that doesn’t stop me from ordering from them, so many cute things!

Where I Wore It

You may recognize this dress from Monday’s post. I totally wore this for the Fourth of July! When I purchased it, I immediately thought of celebrating the red, white and blue in it! I probably should have ironed it first, but, not every day is a perfect one! I plan to wear it a lot this summer, I mean, it’s summertime bottled up in a dress! The watermelon print is sold out, but the dress comes in other prints, which are just as cute!

How I Wore It

I kept it simple with a red Kendra Scott Elisa Pendant, Daniel Wellington Classic Petite and Tory Burch Miller sandals. I’ve said it before, but these sandals are by far my favorite pair of shoes this summer. I wear them pretty much every day. Makes me rethink my other shoe purchases…
