I recently received my 23andMe DNA results and let me tell you, I was surprised. My entire life, people have asked me, “what ethnicity are you?” I think it’s my olive skin that has always made people think I was exotic (not my words, theirs). Well, although I always thought my dark coloring came from my mom’s Native American heritage, I was surprised to find that I am predominately British and Irish. My dad is a blonde hair, blue eyed guy, so I’m going to guess I got a lot of his genetics. But, here was the surprising part, I am only 4% Native American and an even bigger shocker to me, I’m also 4% African! People have always guessed I was hispanic or Italian from looking at me. Well, I’m neither of those, not one little bit. My ancestry is colorful and it was fun finding out just what I’m made up of.

How I Styled It
The dress speaks for itself, so I kept it simple with a Kendra Scott Rayne necklace and earrings. I wore my Miller Sandals for comfort, but you could also wear heels with this dress.
Where I’ll Wear It
The print is so summery and bright! I’ll most likely wear this dress to the pool and in a casual way around town. You could dress it up, but the material seems more casual to me.
