My boyfriend jeans sing to me from my closet, in the best Nicki Minaj, Jeremih collab voice possible, “I just want to be your favorite.” Well, don’t worry boyfriends, you are my favorite, but you see, this big belly of mine has made me too afraid to try you on lately. Afraid because there’s nothing more depressing than trying on something that fit you perfectly just eight months ago only to not be able to pull them past your knees. The other day I decided my boyfriends deserved a second chance and pulled them on and topped them with a belly band. Much to my excitement, they fit and with the addition of my favorite maternity shirt and a pair of my favorite pumps, this plump gal was a little happier.

This outfit also made me that much more excited about being able to slip back into these babies in just 4-5 more weeks, well maybe longer, with a snuggly newborn in my arms of course. Don’t even get me started on my excitement about wearing skirts again, it’s real.
