Countdown To Weekend - Pumps & Push Ups

This weekend, my husband and I celebrate our 5 year anniversary! Five years ago, our big day came and went like a storm…literally. There was not a cloud was in the sky all day until the moment of go time, when we had to rush to finish the ceremony as a large thunderstorm was making its way in. Winds whipped as we said our I do’s and we quickly rushed off, alongside our guests and bridal party, as everyone sought cover just in time before the big downpour. Luckily the skies parted quickly and we were able to get on with what was one of the best days of my life. The storm definitely made for an interesting twist and is still a moment that we laugh about to this day.

Five years has gone by quickly but I know the minutes will tick by slowly as I await festivities starting this evening. We don’t have anything fancy planned (we had our big celebration back in April when we went to San Diego for a long weekend) but tonight we are going to check out the new Jurassic Park movie (oh yea, thats right) and grab a bite to eat al fresco, which is my favorite. Then tomorrow we will head to be with my family at our river house for some relaxing time on the water. Luckily, I have this sweet new watch, sent to me by a fantastic wood watch company named Jord, to keep an eye on the clock as I countdown to what is looking to be a pretty great anniversary weekend.

I was impressed by this company from the very start. First, each watch is customized based on wrist size, which was a awesome for me because I have small wrists so standard watches are always too big on me. The watch came beautifully packaged in a wooden box, wrapped around a small pillow. Extension links were provided in case your watch has to be adjusted from the customized size made for you. The watch, made almost entirely of wood, is absolutely beautiful and of fantastic quality.
