Trends are great and all, but a lot of us just want simple. Simple and comfortable. I was recently asked for more outfits that the tops don’t need to be fully tucked. Tops that can be worn untucked or just front tucked. I love a front tuck (I think it gives me the illusion of longer legs) but I know that’s not everyone’s cup of tea. Here are a few simple outfits with tops that can be untucked or just half-tucked.

Lilac Top
I’ve been getting a lot of feedback lately about wanting more affordable options and I’m trying my hardest to find those options. In particular, if you’re looking for budget-friendly and petite, start with places Old Navy and Kohls – where this lilac top is from. Kohl’s has a surprising selection of Petites. Just like Old Navy, their Petites only seem to be offered online, but for the most part, everything I’ve ordered from there has been true to size and a great fit overall. I’m wearing this top in Petite XS and it’s a perfect fit all around. It comes in other colors and is soft as well.

Printed Top
Last month I wrote about a pair of 4″ inseam shorts. I used to be a 3″ inseam fan, but I’m totally reformed ever since trying the longer length. You just can’t beat the comfort of not worrying if your butt cheeks are falling out of the back of your shorts, lol. I’ve become partial to J.Crew’s shorts, but Madewell also has great options. I’m planning to order my old favorite, the O.G. shorts from Old Navy in the longer length to see how I like them as well.

Babydoll Top
When it’s in the 90s and humid as all get out – a top like this is your friend. It’s light and breezy. The tie in the back brings the straps up to the length you need. I’m wearing it in Petite XS and it fits true to size. The shorts run true to size. The shoes are narrow and although I’m wearing them in my true size, you may want to size up if you’re in between sizes.

Eyelet Top
I love simple tops that have a little detail on them – like this tank top from J.Crew Factory. I’m wearing it in regular sizing in xxs and it fits perfectly, which makes me think it runs a little bit small.
