The date nights, or just moments with just the two of us have started to become few and far between for my husband and I. Although we try to steal away time together as often as possible, with two kids, that’s not always easy. So, when the moments come up, you can bet I try to look a little special. I’m still a casual girl at heart, so my idea of looking a little special often includes a pair of pumps with my jeans instead of flats. Plus, my hubby is one country boy of a man, so he’s not one to dress up, together we make a perfectly casual pair.
So, first up in the post, I’m going to show you how I do my makeup for a date night. I’ve been trying Neutrogena® Hydro Boost tint and concealer, so I have a full review for you. I even did a video! I’m not one for video, so go easy on me, haha! Then I put together a few different outfits and I’ll let you weigh in on your favorite!
Neutrogena® Hydro Boost Hydrating Tint
So, the star of the look, Neutrogena® Hydro Boost Hydrating Tint. I know wrinkles and fine lines are slow growing, but for some reason, as soon as I turned 30, I was like, what happened to my face?! I immediately regret all of that sun worshipping I did as a teen (and let’s be honest, still do from time to time). My skin is still pretty decent, but I have uneven places and fine lines on my forehead and let’s not ignore the crows feet. So, I’m finding that cream formulas work the best on my skin. They blend into my skin, rather than sit on top, which hides those fine lines.
The Hydro Boost formula is creamy and lightweight, two of my favorite things. It has hylauronic acid in it, which is supposed to plump and hydrate your skin, making for even better application and wear. You can see in my video, that it is a light product, however, you can easily build upon it if you like more coverage. I grabbed a bottle at Walmart, along with the Hydro Boost concealer, and the Hydro Boost hydrating lip shine.
Being Neutrogena®, the price point is great and honestly, I’ve been really impressed with the product. I’ll buy it again for sure! I should also mention, this product is great in general, whether you have fine lines or not!
Check out the video for my full look, I’m no pro, so I keep it fairly simple!

Now, on to those outfits.

I took these pictures in my bedroom, because where do you get ready for a date night, your bedroom! It is supposed to warm up this week, so I can ditch my winter boots for a few days and hopefully break out some pumps and flats. Hallelujah! But, it’s still pretty cold, so I’m not breaking out a dress anytime soon.

The first look is pretty basic, and honestly something I wear pretty often. I love this top from J. Crew Factory and these J. Crew jeans were worth their price tag. They tuck and hold everything in, in all the right places. I’m wearing these sole society pumps in nearly all of the outfits, because I’m pretty much in love. They are more comfortable than 97% of the shoes in my closet, just saying. I’m thinking I need more colors.

I’m thinking this could look cute with this blazer (also great for casual day at work), or for even more comfort, like a movie date, these flats and this sweater blazer.

Going another direction, I was thinking I could break out the winter white!

Of course it will be cold out, so this camel coat would be joining both outfits.
