Green is a great color for the office because it feels polished while offering a welcome change from the usual black, navy, and beige. Whether you gravitate toward soft sage, olive, or a richer emerald, it’s a versatile shade that pairs beautifully with white, cream, and oatmeal for summer workwear.
For this installment of my outfit-by-color series, I’m sharing three petite-friendly green outfits that are comfortable, office appropriate, and easy to recreate.

My Sizing: I’m 4’10”, and my bust, waist, and hip measurements are 32″, 24″, and 36″. My inseam is 25″ (the measurement from the inside of my leg to my ankle bone). The clothes shown are unaltered and show how they fit me right from the store. I list my sizing beside each item to help you compare when shopping online. When referencing my true size, that is often the smallest option available at a brand or petite xxs/00/24. I wear a size 5 shoe.
Outfit 1: Green Polka Dot Dress
Nothing makes getting dressed for work easier than a great dress, and this green and white polka dot dress from Ann Taylor checks all the boxes.
I’m wearing it in Petite 00, and I found it true to size. The proportions work well on my 4’10” frame. The arm openings fit comfortably without gaping, and the functional buttons extend all the way down the front without pulling across the chest. The dress is also fully lined, so you don’t have to worry about it being see-through.
The fabric is a 52% linen and 48% rayon blend, which gives it a lightweight feel while helping reduce some of the wrinkling that comes with linen. One thing to keep in mind is that it is dry clean only.
As is often the case with Ann Taylor, petite sizes in their dresses and skirts tend to sell quickly. I’ll continue to keep an eye on restocks because I think this one is worth grabbing if your size becomes available.

Outfit 2: Green Floral Skirt with Layered Neutrals
For my second outfit, I reached for a skirt that’s been in my closet for years. This green pleated skirt from Amazon has been one of those surprisingly reliable purchases that continues to earn its place in my wardrobe.
I’m wearing a size Small, and it fits me well. It’s fully lined, and despite its budget-friendly price, it has held up beautifully over the years. To help it last, I wash it in cold water, hang it to dry, and use a steamer to smooth out any wrinkles.
I paired it with two Quince basics in matching oatmeal tones: the Cotton Cashmere Boatneck Tank and the coordinating cardigan. I wear both in XS, and they fit me well. The cardigan sleeves are a little long on me, so I simply cuff them once for a better fit.
I especially like this combination for summer because the layered look works well in air-conditioned offices. The cardigan can easily come off when heading outside into the heat while the tank still creates a polished, finished outfit.

Outfit 3: Green Sweater Tee with Wide-Leg Pants
In this outfit, I paired LOFT’s Versa Palazzo Pants with Ann Taylor’s green boatneck sweater T-shirt.
The sweater has a polished look that makes it feel a little more elevated than a basic knit tee. I’m wearing Petite XXS, and the proportions work well, it’s true to size.
The LOFT Versa Palazzo Pants are also true to size, although they are intentionally very voluminous through the leg. I go true to size in this pair, they have a 27.5″ inseam in petite.

Final Thoughts
I often go for navy and black, but green feels fresh and still professional.
