One Week of Outfit Ideas for Teachers
My Sizing: I’m 4’10”, and my bust, waist, and hip measurements are 32″, 24″, and 36″. My inseam is 25″ (the measurement from the inside of my leg to my ankle bone). The clothes shown are unaltered and show how they fit me right from the store. I list my sizing beside each item to help you compare when shopping online. When referencing my true size, that is often the smallest option available at a brand or petite xxs/00/24. I wear a size 5 shoe.
Monday
For Monday, I picked a pair of straight pants from J.Crew Factory and a ruffle top from Target. The pants are true to size with a 10″ rise and a 25″ inseam in petite.

Tuesday
On Tuesday, I kept it simple with a cotton dress from Banana Republic Factory. This dress has a roomy swing fit and is a great length for petites. It has functional buttons, pockets, and isn’t lined, but it’s not sheer. I paired it with washable leopard flats from Target. If you would like a little extra length, I would try the dress in regular sizing!

Wednesday
On Wednesday, I chose comfortable ponte straight pants that feel like your favorite pair of leggings. The pants are true to size, have a stretch waistband and are a pull-on style. They have a high 10″ rise and a 25″ inseam in petite. I kept it cozy with an oversized cotton cardigan from Quince paired with a classic button down.

Thursday
On Thursday, I chose a roomy, comfortable dress from Old Navy. I love the print and swing style, but the dress is oversized and drops low at the arm openings. It works well with a jacket and possibly in a size down.

Friday
Many of my readers told me they could wear jeans on Friday, so I went with it! In the outfit on the right I’m wearing the Collette Jeans from Anthropologie. The Collette jeans/pants come in many different varieties. There are different colors, fabrics, cropped and full-length options. All of the options come in petite and regular sizing. In this post I’m wearing a cropped style, in regular sizing, so they would be full length on me. They are a pricey option, but they were originally recommended to me by a teacher who said they were her favorite thing to wear to work. On the right, I have a very similar pair of jeans from Amazon so you can get the look for less. They’re not as soft as the Collette jeans, but they have a similar look and comfortable stretch denim. I’m wearing the jeans in a size 2, I recommend following their size chart to find your size. Since posting this I also had a reader recommend these jeans from Kohl’s as another similar look for less!
