I have a December birthday and for the last several years my friends and I have celebrated it with some sort of Christmas sweater celebration. Sometimes it’s been a tacky sweater party, a tacky lights tour and this year we took a limo-guided tacky lights tour (so much fun)! I have a couple of sweaters I’ve bought over the years and most years I will just wear the same one. It’s been a few years since I added a new one to my collection so I added a new one this year! I’ll share the one I wore along with two other options at different price points.

Holiday Sweater Outfits
Sizing Reference: I’m 4’10” and my bust, waist, and hip measurements are 32″, 24″, and 36″. My typical inseam is 24-25″. All of the outfits are unaltered and I list my sizing beside each item to help you compare and shop online.
Classic Holiday Sweater
I’ve been reading blogs since they first started to become a thing around 2007. I found them so inspiring. One blogger I particularly loved in those days was Sarah Vickers of Classy Girls Wear Pearls. Her blog (and Instagram) are filled with dreamy, color-rich preppy outfits and scenes from New England. She and her husband created the Kiel James Patrick brand and it’s just as preppy and color-filled as her blog. The sweater I bought to wear for my birthday is a sweater from their holiday line. It was a splurge (I bought it during their Black Friday Sale) but it’s something I plan to wear season after season. It is a wool blend that’s a little bit itchy so you’ll need to layer it with a t-shirt.

Classic Red Sweater
When you want to be festive without buying something that’s holiday-specific a red sweater is a great option! You can add a small festive accessory like a headband too. This sweater from Abercrombie is soft (not itchy) with a cropped fit. It works well with jeans but also works great with skirts! I’m wearing it in XXS and find it to be true to size.

H&M Find
The last sweater is an H&M find. It’s also a soft option that’s a little bit oversized. I think this one looks great with black or charcoal pants! My coat is from Abercrombie from last year so unfortunately, I don’t have a current link for it. I will link a similar option for you!
