Little Black Dress

The little black dress, a classic, fit for just about any occasion. This past weekend, hubby and I attended my cousin’s wedding where I donned this classic black dress. The perfect accompaniment to crisp champagne bubbles and smooth jazz music, this dress received compliments all around. Although the weather has cooled off quite a bit this week, Saturday we were still experiencing a taste of summer, so thankfully I was able to style this dress with open wedges and simple jewelry, keeping it light and airy. I say thankfully, because I’m still recovering from a fracture to my big toe and the thought of stuffing my feet into a pair of pumps was torture, luckily these gold standbys allowed me to dance the night away, without limping on the way home.

Back to the dress, my mind is buzzing with the endless possibilities for this beauty. On it’s own, the dress is perfect for a formal affair, but I can also picture the addition of a cropped sweater and booties dressing it down a bit. Despite the open back, I think it would also look just as awesome with a crisp white button down peeking out from underneath, topped with a chic blazer. I’m telling you, the possibilities are just endless!
