No matter the season, every girl needs a little black dress. You’ve heard that before. This dress, is my little black dress for fall.

Fall Little Black Dress

Funny thing is, I almost returned this dress. Remember my recent buys and returns post? This dress was on my return list. I tried it on when I was having a particularly blah day and felt equally blah in the dress. However, thanks to my sometimes procrastination, the package sat in my house waiting to be returned. When I was getting dressed for work on Friday, I was struggling with what to wear and decided to pull the dress back out. Let’s just say, the dress and I had a better day. I decided to keep it.

How To Wear A Little Black Dress in Fall

I wore it to work with a pair of basic flats, but for a fun weekend look, I added this floppy hat, a kimono and block heels! I have to admit, this is the first time I’ve worn both a kimono and a floppy hat. I mean, I may have worn a kimono once a few years ago, but being petite, I tend to feel overwhelmed in kimonos. I first tried this kimono on with jeans and felt very overwhelmed, it made me feel shorter. However, with the dress and a little leg and height from the heels, I love it! The kimono was gifted to me by Rock Flower Paper, and they show so many fun ways to wear it on their site! You can take 15% off with the code PUMPS15

I recently purchased the heels after seeing them on Blaire of Peaches in a Pod!  These were final sale, so they were a gamble, but it paid off! I bought a size 5 and they fit me perfectly! So, I would say they run a tad small, since I am typically a 4.5. I hope I get more opportunities to wear them with fall dresses before it gets too cool! So, shout out to Blaire for sharing them!
