If you’re anything like me, you love to shop. Pretty much anything I buy, even a simple countertop spray from Target, makes me feel good. But some of my purchases go beyond the warm and fuzzies of something new and make me feel great because I’m supporting a company that is making a big difference with their business.

Uncommon Goods, a company making a big social impact

Uncommon Goods is a New York based business that sells unique jewelry, designer decor, tabletop items and handcrafted gifts. Their products are produced in an environmentally conscious way and their mission is to support local designers and artisans. Over half of what they sell is handmade right her in the US! Erica shared a little bit about their company last week in her post about her baby bird necklace!

Not only is Uncommon Goods focused on protecting our environment and supporting creativity, they are fighting the wage war by ensuring that their employees are all paid 50% above minimum wage and up! All of their efforts, have earned them the designation as a B company, which means they use their power as a business to make a social and economical difference!

So they’re a great company, but what makes them even greater is their collection of jewelry! Each piece is so unique and beautiful. I grabbed a pair of druzy earrings that I just can’t stop wearing. They are a soft beautiful blue that compliment so many outfits. They were wire wrapped by hand, which makes them even more special to me!

So, tell me, have you made any purchases lately that made you feel great?
