Festive Pants for Petites

If you love dressing up for the holidays but want something different from a dress, festive pants are such a fun option. Whether you’re headed to a holiday party, family gathering, or just want to add a little sparkle to your winter wardrobe, these petite-friendly pants are well proportioned for petites.

In this post, I’m sharing five pairs of festive pants for petites — all tried and styled by me (4’10”) — with real fit notes, inseam details, and ideas for how to wear them. I’m sharing all of them unaltered on me – but some do require a heel to work without a hem – I’ll be sure to note when that is the case!

My Sizing: I’m 4’10”, and my bust, waist, and hip measurements are 32″, 24″, and 36″. My inseam is 25″ (the measurement from the inside of my leg to my ankle bone). The clothes shown are unaltered and show how they fit me right from the store. I list my sizing beside each item to help you compare when shopping online. When referencing my true size, that is often the smallest option available at a brand or petite xxs/00/24. I wear a size 5 shoe.

I paired them with a slim tailored top from J.Crew Factory in petite XXS featuring rhinestone bow embellishments — it’s subtle but perfectly festive. I finished the look with metallic pumps and bow earrings for an understated holiday sparkle.

J.Crew Factory Kallie Velvet Pants

Another beautiful velvet option, the J.Crew Factory Kallie Velvet Pants offer a more structured, polished fit. They’re a soft midweight velvet with low stretch, so they loosen a little with wear.

Rise: 10″
Inseam: 26″ (petite) — perfect with flats or a low heel

I styled these with a simple white boatneck top from Old Navy and the matching Velvet Schoolboy Blazer from J.Crew Factory for a classic, coordinated look. The blazer runs true to size with a traditional tailored fit.

J.Crew Vintage Flare Pants in Corduroy

These J.Crew Vintage Flare Pants in Corduroy combine cozy texture with a flattering fit. The fabric is thick enough to hold you in but still soft, warm, and comfortable.

I paired mine with a sequin sweater from Old Navy that fits perfectly in petite XS. To finish, I added small bow earrings and metallic heels (sadly sold out). This look feels festive without being over-the-top — perfect for a cozy but dressy holiday dinner.

The Slim Wide Jeans from J.Crew Factory are a favorite of mine in general. They’re comfortable, have a little bit of stretch and hold shape through the day. This embroidered pair is fun and festive for the holidays. I paired them simply here with a petite-friendly crewneck sweater and metallic flats.
