There is one place that has always been a part of my life where I can truly feel relaxed and stress free. There are no expectations, no wifi, and no tv; only fun in the sun and naps in the hammock on the porch overlooking the water. This place is my family river house. Shared between my dad and his brother and sisters (and their families), I have spent much of my summers here since I was a baby. So many fond memories have occurred here, from endless hours on the water to evenings by the campfire listening to live music played by my family. One of the most serene times of day is the early morning, when the water is smooth as glass, the air is cool and crisp, and there is a tranquil calm that permeates as many people remain cozy in their beds. It’s absolutely beautiful and I love it. I look forward to years of sharing this place with my daughter and seeing it become as special to her as it is to me.
