A Darn Good Plant-Based Burger

This post is sponsored by Sweet Earth, all opinions are my own.

I remember being a kid and having veggie burgers at my Mimi’s house. She was a vegetarian at the time, and I didn’t really understand what I was eating, I just knew it was good. Everything Mimi makes is good. She crafted her veggie burgers, for me, with a toasted bun, a little mayo and lettuce – the perfect combination.

Plant-Based Burgers

I’m not a vegetarian, but I’m also not all that fond of meat, I could take it or leave it. So if there is a veggie burger option, I’m more likely to take it over a regular burger. Especially if it’s complete with a toasted bun and a little mayo.

I, of course, toasted my bun, topped it with a little mayo, sliced onion and lettuce. The tomato is for my husband, I’m not a big tomato fan.

How Does it Taste?

Sweet Earth did a good job creating a plant-based burger with a very similar texture to beef. The burger isn’t at all squishy, like some other veggie burgers, instead it is juicy and it has a rich smoky flavor.
