The t-shirt dress is comfortable and versatile. It’s a great summer staple to have on hand. However, finding one that fits and compliments a petite frame isn’t always easy. Most that I’ve tried are a little too long for my tastes. I think a t-shirt dress looks the best on someone who is petite when it hits an inch or two above the knee, and this one from Banana Republic does just that.

This dress sold out quick in this navy and white version, but there is a navy and green that still seems to be available, that I think would look great with any of these outfits. For reference, I’m wearing a petite xxs.
With Leopard
I think this dress is great all by itself. It’s made from a thick fabric that isn’t see through, but still isn’t so heavy you’re going to sweat to death in the summer heat. I would totally wear it on its own with any of the shoes I’m wearing in this post, but I think the leopard espadrilles make for a fun pattern mix. You can’t see it in this picture, but I knotted the top of the strap on my bag to make it hit at hip height.

I think a t-shirt dress and sneakers is the cutest! Throw on a utility jacket for a layer if you want to, but it’s totally cute on its own.

Most seen outfit on instagram – the denim jacket tied around the waist outfit. Kidding – but I see it a lot, and love it every time, it’s so cute! In the second outfit I swapped the sneakers for sandals and put the jacket on top.

With a Kimono
Does anyone else put on a kimono and instantly feel…fancy? Kimonos float and flow, you can swish all around when you walk, it’s fun. I’m always up for a good pattern mix, and navy and pink are always a pretty color combination to me. So, I think this light pink tie-dye and navy stripes works!
