My family is casual so for Thanksgiving I often wear a comfortable leggings outfit or jeans. But, I know everyone is different and some people welcome the opportunity to dress up a little bit on the holiday. So, I put together a few different ideas for Thanksgiving, they’re all petite-friendly, and even though some are dressed up, they’re all comfortable. I styled all of the outfits with a coat, but obviously, you won’t be wearing a coat indoors so I made sure to include a picture of the outfits with and without the coat.

Outfit Ideas for Thanksgiving
My Sizing: I’m 4’10” and my bust, waist, and hip measurements are 32″, 24″ and 36″. My typical inseam is 24-25″. The clothes shown are unaltered and show how they fit me right from the store. I list my sizing beside each item to help you compare when shopping online.
Sweater Dresses
I found a comfortable petite-friendly sweater dress at Old Navy. It’s soft and warm and roomy enough to be comfortable, but not too roomy that it drowns you. For reference, I tend to struggle with the fit of sweater dresses across my hips, the straight fit often hugs my hips too much but this one has enough room.

Mini Skirt
I’ve really been into skirts and boots lately, especially with tights. I added a pair of sheer tights here but if you need extra warmth you can opt for opaque instead. This skirt runs small in the waist, I would definitely go up a size for the best fit. The coat fits me well overall in Petite XXS/00 but is a little bit long in the sleeves, I have them cuffed under here.

Jeans + Sweater
This is a simple outfit but one I love because of the fit of both the sweater and jeans. There’s no need to tuck anything in or roll any cuffs, the sweater just fits (in regular sizing even). The jeans are stretchy and comfortable and have a perfect petite fit as well.

Leggings
Last, my personal favorite for Thanksgiving – leggings! You can opt for leather leggings or ponte leggings for an elevated outfit. I found a great leggings-friendly top at H&M that fits me well overall in XS (with a little extra room). I would wear this outfit with either knee-high or ankle boots.
