I have a serious thing for dresses so far this summer. Especially affordable dresses. Sure, dresses can be somewhat of a challenge with two littles, but if the length is right, a dress is is so breezy and easy to keep cool in.

PinkBlush Navy Floral Dress
Now, let’s start with the elephant in the room. If you click the link, you’ll notice this is a shift dress. But, you’ll also note, that this nugget of a girl looks just pretty darn bad in a shift dress style. I always order shift dresses hoping just maybe this will be the one that will run small and will look good on me. Nope, not the case. I had to belt it for some shape. It’s safe to say this dress runs a little large, so I would size down. But, the pros – It is under $50 and the print is lovely. It is made of light chiffon and is fully lined making it perfect for a wedding, church, party or date night. PinkBlush also sells maternity clothes, which are so cute. This dress is not maternity, but I would say this is a dress you could easily wear over your bump, far into your pregnancy. When I was pregnant, I loved pieces that weren’t maternity, that I could get a lot of wear out of.

How I Styled It
I belted it because it was big in the middle, but I could also see tying a sash around the middle with a bow for an even sweeter look. I could also have it tailored, like 90% of my clothes. I wore my favorite block heels, which remain my favorite heel of the season. I also wore a Kendra Scott Rayne necklace that is lilac and matched the flowers perfectly. My sunglasses are from Target, because I live for cheap sunglasses. (can’t keep a pair to save my life) When I get a chance to have it taken in, I would totally wear it in a more casual way with sandals, unbelted.

I’m a floral girl through and through. I’m always drawn to a pretty prints and textures, so you can bet I’ll be adding more florals to my closet this summer!
