This week we are talking about the things that make us happy! It’s easy to focus on the stuff that makes us stress/sad/mad/scared but what we should really be putting our time and energy towards are the things that make us happy and joyful! This time of year makes me totally happy. It’s not about the gifts or stress of accomplishing tasks, for me it’s time spent with family, entertaining and seeing the excitement on my boys’ faces from a few twinkling lights. I will admit, I am the person that is already playing Christmas music! I haven’t pulled out the decorations just yet, but the boys and I have been taking trips to the store just to browse the decorations, ya know, to get prepared. They are so excited and I am so excited!:)

While I couldn’t possibly rattle off everything that makes me happy there are definitely several top items that come to mind. It pretty much goes without saying that my teenie girl makes me happy – her laugh, her personality, the way she walks, plays, eats (I mean if you’ve ever watched a baby feed themselves…freaking adorable) – so much cuteness. My husband makes me happy because he gets me and truly is the ying to my yang. The fact that we have such a fun and supportive extended family, on both sides, not only makes me happy but gives me the warm fuzzies. That goes for friends too! Laughing at the silly moments, acting like a kid, exploring things that are new and enjoying a good craft beer at the end of a crazy day…all of these things make me oh, so happy.
