There has been a lot of fitness talk on this blog lately – you’re not imagining it. I blame my focus, but lately I’ve been doing a lot more working out and less shopping…for regular clothes that is. Despite the fact that I workout at home, I love activewear! It motivates me during my workouts, but also serves me well during those errand running and park days with the boys. Over the years, I’ve tried workout clothes from just about everywhere and have come to personally love a few brands, and know just where to get the best leggings, sports bras and tops for your next workout.

Leggings

When it comes to workout leggings for me, I’ve come to realize I prefer dark, solid colors over brights and prints. Not that I don’t own a lot of prints and colors, but I find I feel the most confident in the solid, dark ones. For me to love a pair of leggings it can’t be tight in the waist line (I prefer a high rise), it needs to come in a short length and the crotch stitching is important.

I know y’all know what I mean about that, if the stitching isn’t right in the crotch, that’s not a cute situation. The brand I love the most, which also happens to have the best prices, is Fabletics. I’ve been lucky enough to participate in their Ambassador program in the past and more recently, have joined on again. So, I’ve tried a lot from their line, and their leggings are my absolute favorite. They come in all lengths, and are never tight in the waist! They have a multitude of fabrics to fit your fitness style too – Power Form is so soft, so it’s great for around the house and for workouts you’ll be doing a lot of bending and stretching; like yoga.

Then the Power Hold line is made to tuck everything in and give you the best shape – and it does! I love to wear those out and about, as they’re the most flattering.

Their VIP program is $49.95 a month – toward your purchase and includes deep discounts on complete outfits!  Some of those outfits are just a top and bottom, but some include a sports bra or jacket too. VIP members also get access to online workouts and discounts with partner brands, so it’s really a good deal!

Sports Bras

I love a good sports bra, I wear them of course for working out, but also around the house and even to sleep. Thanks to nursing two baby boys, I’ve also had just about every bra size you can think of – from A all the way up to a DD, it’s crazy, let me tell you. One brand, has held to the being the best, time after time – Lululemon. I’m not 100% loyal to the brand in general, but their sports bras are THE BEST! They last wash after wash and year after year. They have the best support, and are just all around my favorite. My all time favorite is this purple one:

I’ve had it for years, this is actually the original instagram photo from when I bought it back in 2013! You can see it worn here, and here.

Jackets

I love to throw on a comfortable hoodie or jacket to run a few errands when it’s cool out. I prefer jackets with good bottom coverage and that are roomy. I’ve never been one to like a tight top. Some of my favorites have come from activewear classics like Adidas and Nike!

Tops

I’m going to admit here that I don’t typically love workout tops. I don’t care for the slick material and tight fit of most of them. So instead, I will wear a basic cotton tee, however, in the past I’ve had good luck with Adidas and Athleta tops.

So there ya have it, all of my activewear favorites in one post! Do we share any of the same favorites?
