It’s that time of year, the kids are back to school, the pumpkins spice lattes have made their debut and we are all longing to break out our blanket scarves and booties. But, there is one problem…it’s still pretty darn hot. In the past, we’ve been lucky to have summer temps (80s – 90s) all the way through October. It’s nice, but it also puts a damper on those fall fashion dreams. So what is a girl to do?
Grab Darker Colors – You don’t have to wear a dark sweater to say fall. Grab a dark t-shirt or in my case a dark burgundy sleeveless dress and celebrate the rich colors of fall.
Grab An In Between Shoe – You’re so over your summer sandals, but you’re also just not ready to rock a pair of hot suede booties when it’s still 90 degrees outside. So, grab a great in between shoe like an open toe bootie or a cute pair of flats. Both options are a little more fall than your sandals without being too hot.

I love going darker in A&W. It already feels like autumn here with temperature around 60s. Colour of the dress and the pattern of the flats are beautiful, something I’d wear during the transition period!
