I’m not typically a super trendy girl. I tend to pick classic pieces, that will last me through the trends and the years. While I love to pick items that I know will look good on me, I also have a tendency to never step out of my box, and wear the same styles over and over again. So, I decided it was time to be a little more adventurous. Bell sleeves aren’t a new trend, they’ve been around for some time, and to many, aren’t adventurous. Being short and a little bit stocky, anything that added weight to the top of me, just seemed like a bad idea, so bell sleeves weren’t something I wanted to try. But, the more I saw beautiful bell sleeves on my blogger friends, the more I wanted to give them a try. I’m glad I did.

Despite the fact that my husband feels that this shirt looks like it is backwards and also a hospital gown, I love it! He is convinced I will be asked multiple times if my shirt if backwards. Pshhhhh, I love him to death, but I choose not to take my fashion advice from someone who wears t-shirts on repeat all week, love ya coo, mean it!. I’m wearing this cutie with jeans, skirts and shorts, all the while, getting my bell sleeve dance on.

So, after this successful trendy purchase, I decided to partake in another little hot cake, the Marc Fisher wedges, that everyone is dying over. I went back and forth on the purchase until I saw how quickly they were selling out. So, I went over to Zappos and clicked my little heart out. Then, patiently waited for their arrival. Luckily with Zappos that was like the next day, woo! Anyway, when they came in, I was so excited, only to find they were an absolute fail on me. They were comfortable for sure, and they look gorgeous on so many of the women I’ve seen wearing them, but on me, they just added weight to my already short legs. So, back they went. Now, I’m just waiting on these Jeffrey Campbell wedges to arrive in the mail. Here’s to hoping they work out!
What trend have you been trying/loving lately? Any of them not work so well for you?
