Walmart has really stepped up its fashion game. While I can often find styles I love, fit can be hit or miss for me since many pieces tend to run a bit large. That said, every so often I find items that work really well. Recently, I found a dress and two sweaters that are surprisingly petite-friendly and easy to mix into my existing wardrobe.

Budget-Friendly Holiday Outfit Finds from Walmart
My Sizing: I’m 4’10”, and my bust, waist, and hip measurements are 32″, 24″, and 36″. My inseam is 25″ (the measurement from the inside of my leg to my ankle bone). The clothes shown are unaltered and show how they fit me right from the store. I list my sizing beside each item to help you compare when shopping online. When referencing my true size, that is often the smallest option available at a brand or petite xxs/00/24. I wear a size 5 shoe.
Crystal Embellished Dress
My favorite find in this post is an A-line dress with crystal embellishments, which I picked up in both white and black. I’m wearing the dress in an XS, and while it has a bit of extra room through the body and a slightly dropped waist on me, I still think the overall fit works well. Worn with heels, the length is petite-friendly. The arm openings aren’t too large, and the fabric is a soft sweater knit that feels comfortable and polished. If you’re looking for layering ideas, this dress would look beautiful with a sweater or blazer worn over it, or with a turtleneck or button-down layered underneath.

Crystal Button Sweater
I bought this crystal-button sweater last month and think it’s a perfect festive piece for the holidays. It’s low in stock online, but you may still be able to find it in your local store. I found it fits true to size overall, with just a slight sleeve roll needed for me. It’s a thick, warm, classic cable knit that looks great paired with jeans or dressed up with velvet pants.
Mock Neck Sweater
I love that this mock neck sweater can be dressed up or down. It works just as well with jeans as it does dressed up with white pants. I’m wearing it here in an XS, and it has a roomy, swingy fit with wide sleeves. I love the overall style and shape, but you may want to consider sizing down for a closer fit.

I’m continually asked for more budget-friendly options, and I truly want to deliver. With my primary focus being a great petite fit from the store, the budget brands are harder for me to find those pieces that truly fit well, but I will continue to look for the winning pieces here and there.
