I love wearing a dress during the spring and summer. It’s the most comfortable choice for a hot day. They’re breezy, roomy, and you don’t have the riding up issue you get with shorts. I found a handful of options here that are perfect everyday options for spring and summer, even a couple with sleeves (a highly requested feature).

Casual Summer Day Dresses
My Sizing: I’m 4’10”, and my bust, waist, and hip measurements are 32″, 24″, and 36″. My inseam is 25″ (the measurement from the inside of my leg to my ankle bone). The clothes shown are unaltered and show how they fit me right from the store. I list my sizing beside each item to help you compare when shopping online. When referencing my true size, that is often the smallest option available at a brand or petite xxs/00/24. I wear a size 5 shoe.
Navy Mini Dress
This dress is a comfortable option with a roomy fit. It is fully lined with embroidered white flowers. The v-neck is not too low, and although it dips down in the back, it’s not too low for a regular bra. It has a tie at the back as well. In XS, this dress is 32″ from shoulder to hem.

Midi Dress
This green midi dress is very well proportioned for petites. It is a true midi length, measuring 42″ from shoulder to hem in Petite XXS. The skirt is fully lined and has pockets. It has a back zipper, with stretch at the front. I find this dress to run small across the chest and at the armpits, so I recommend going up a size.

Citrus Midi Dress
This empire waist midi dress has a sweet citrus print that I love. My favorite features of the dress are the adjustable straps and full midi skirt. The skirt is fully lined and has pockets. This dress also has a little bit of stretch at the back of the chest and I find it to be true to size overall. In Petite XXS, this dress is 42.5″ long from shoulder to hem (with the straps adjusted).

Striped Midi Dress
I should have put this dress at the top because it’s my favorite. The buttons at the top are functional, and the sleeves are perfect (not overly puffy). The waist is stretchy and elastic and comes with a tie belt (which I removed). This dress is unlined, but not see-through. In Petite XXS, the dress measures 44″ from shoulder to hem.

Denim Dress
This dress doesn’t come in petite, but it’s still overall well-proportioned. In XXS the dress measures 34.5″ from shoulder to hem. The denim is stretchy and comfortable to wear. The buttons are functional at the top and it has a zipper at the bottom.
