Boden dresses are well-made, and their petite sizing is often very well-proportioned. I love their unique prints and bold colors – and from my last post about Boden – I know many of you do as well. Today, I’m reviewing four dresses from Boden for casual spring and summer days and upcoming events.

Petite-Friendly Dresses from Boden
My Sizing: I’m 4’10”, and my bust, waist, and hip measurements are 32″, 24″, and 36″. My inseam is 25″ (the measurement from the inside of my leg to my ankle bone). The clothes shown are unaltered and show how they fit me right from the store. I list my sizing beside each item to help you compare when shopping online. When referencing my true size, that is often the smallest option available at a brand or petite xxs/00/24. I wear a size 5 shoe.
Wren Double Cloth Midi Dress
Double cloth is one of my favorite fabrics to wear. This cotton dress is so soft and gauzy, and it washes and wears well. This dress doesn’t wrinkle easily, so it would be one that would travel well. I’m packing it for an upcoming trip, but I’ll also be wearing it for casual days and fun events like end-of-year school celebrations and summer parties. Sizing: This dress is true to size, I’m wearing it in Petite 0. It is a v-neck style that isn’t too low and it is well fitted at the arm holes (no gaping). The waist has stretch at the back, but is flat at the front. The dress in unlined, but being double cloth it’s thick enough that it’s not see-through or sheer. Don’t be deterred by the thickness of the fabric, this dress will still keep you nice and cool in hot weather. The dress is maxi length and comes to my ankles. The length works well with flats, but can also be worn with heels.

Mila Jersey Dress
This dress is a cotton and Tencel blend that doesn’t wrinkle easily and washes and wears well. The vibrant red is a pretty shade with deep undertones (for me, that works better with my skin tone). This is another one you can wear casually but also dress up a bit. The soft and stretchy jersey is very comfortable to wear. Sizing: The dress is true to size, I’m wearing it in Petite 0. The waist is stretchy all around and it comes with an optional fabric belt to cinch the waist. The dress is fitted well at the arms and is full coverage front and back. Like most Boden dresses, this dress has pockets.

Trapeze Dress
This vibrant print dress has the same stretch jersey fabric as the red dress above. It is a fit-and-flare style with a high neck and full coverage in the back. The belt is attached to the dress in a contrasting print. Sizing: The dress is true to size; I’m wearing it in Petite 0. It has plenty of stretch and isn’t clingy.

Lillian Midi Dress
I love the vintage style and sweet print on this dress. The Lillian Midi Dress is well proportioned for petites and is a true midi length. I appreciate that both the dress and lining is 100% cotton. The buttons are functional all the way down the dress and it has a stretchy and comfortable waist. I appreciate that the puff sleeves aren’t overly large and they have comfortable stretch that doesn’t squeeze my arms. Sizing: This dress is true to size; I’m wearing it in Petite 0.
