Holiday Party Cocktail Attire
My Sizing: I’m 4’10”, and my bust, waist, and hip measurements are 32″, 24″, and 36″. My inseam is 25″ (the measurement from the inside of my leg to my ankle bone). The clothes shown are unaltered and show how they fit me right from the store. I list my sizing beside each item to help you compare when shopping online. When referencing my true size, that is often the smallest option available at a brand or petite xxs/00/24. I wear a size 5 shoe.
Velvet Jumpsuit
It’s rare for me to find a jumpsuit that fits well, but I can always count on Banana Republic Factory when they release one. I saw this velvet option in their sneak preview and immediately added it to my cart. If you love it too, act fast, it won’t last long. I’m wearing it in my true size, petite xxs. It’s stretchy and soft and fits well in my true size. It has a side zipper closure in addition to pulling it over your head.

A Classic Black Dress
For a classic black dress, this one from Spanx has built-in shapewear for a sleek fit. The dress is strapless and has grip at the top to keep it from falling down. I’m small-chested (32B) and there is a little room at the chest on me. The dress is stretchy and comfortable, made from thick ponte, but has the support Spanx is known for. I’m wearing it in XS and it fits me well overall. Of course, since it isn’t petite it’s much longer on me than it is on the model. This dress comes close to my ankles and looks the best with a heel.
Red Lace Dress
This halter-style dress from Ann Taylor is a gorgeous shade of red. I love the combination of satin and lace. Fitwise, it runs slightly large, but has no stretch, so unless you’re on the border of sizing, I would recommend going true to size. For reference, I’m wearing it here in Petite 00. The dress has a zipper closure and a button at the neck. The halter style requires a strapless bra.
