If there is one catalog I actually look at, it’s the J. Crew catalog. Last month’s catalog was full of the Liberty Thorpe Floral print; tops, shorts and dresses. I fell in love.

I snatched up the cross-back dress and took it to the beach with me. When we visited Myrtle Beach, we made a stop at Brookgreen Gardens.

Brookgreen is a large sculpture garden and also has a zoo. We arrived a little too close to closing time and didn’t make it all the way through, but from what we saw, we loved it. The boys could have watched the turtles all day I think and the trail of live oaks had me swooning. We will definitely venture back next time we’re at the beach to see more of the garden. 

J. Crew Liberty Thorpe Floral Dress

I’ve been singing praises of this dress all over social media. J. Crew’s Liberty Thorpe Floral print is just the cutest. They also have shorts  in this print, which I love too. As typical of J. Crew, this dress is a little pricey (in my opinion). However, I felt like this dress was an investment. One of those items you put in your closet and wear for years. The dress is classic, has pockets, and like most things from J. Crew, is well made. The straps are adjustable because they tie in the back, which makes for a great fit. I ordered this dress back in May when it was on backorder and waited a couple of weeks for it. I probably should have posted about it sooner, but ya’ know, life. So it’s almost sold out! If you love it as much as I do, jump on it now!

My goodness, everywhere? I love this dress with sandals as much as I love it with heels. I’ve worn it around town, to a wedding and to my son’s preschool graduation.
