The first time I saw this skirt on Pinterest, was about a year ago. I loved it! But, the pin wasn’t linked to the skirt, so I just used it as a pretty little piece of inspiration and moved on.

Then the other night, I was browsing Instagram and a fellow blogger shared about the Lauren James Pink Friday Sale. The blogger was wearing a darling little seersucker dress, scalloped and perfect. So I stayed up wayyy past my bedtime that night, so I could get in on that sale when it started.
Maybe it’s the shopper in me, but when someone says they’re putting on a once a year sale and it’s big, I just HAVE to shop it. Prior to this sale, I had no idea what Lauren James was. Preppy and darling, I’m now a new fan! As I was browsing the sale, I found the skirt. The skirt I had pinned a year ago, on sale! It was meant to be.
So, I scooped that skirt up as fast as I could and checked out. I’m kidding. I actually sat in bed for about an hour going back and forth about whether I really need to buy one more thing. Then eventually went to bed without making a purchase. The next morning, I was extremely tired, drinking my morning coffee and decided to hit that checkout button. The skirt was a final sale, so I felt like I was taking a gamble, not knowing anything about the brand. I also ordered a gingham bathing suit. Y’all should have heard the mental struggle over that bathing suit. Like, do I really need another bathing suit this late in the season? But I do want a one piece…oh and it’s gingham.

I’m rambling y’all…let’s review the skirt. The skirt is very well made, fully lined and oh so comfortable. It has pockets!! Yes, if you’re like me, pockets up the ante. The pockets are lined with a silky fabric too, so it’s like butter. The elastic waistband is comfortable and the length is great. (Remember, I’m 4’10”). It’s everything I hoped it would be. I sure am glad I stayed up late for that sale. 😀
