This lavender maxi dress is one of the few maxi dresses I own. Don’t get me wrong, I love maxi dresses, but being petite, it’s hard to find one that doesn’t require hemming, and when clothing requires an extra step, I avoid it. The other dress I own is a petite dress, so it worked perfectly right out of the store. I also have a few others that I’ve been holding on to for months, just waiting to have them hemmed.

Lavender Maxi Dress

This maxi dress was a recent pick from Pink Blush. When I saw it online, I loved the color and the scoop neckline. It comes in several colors and is a really great basic! This dress, right out of the bag, wasn’t actually that long. With a pair of heels I could almost wear it. I mean, wear it standing still. If I tried to take a step, I would end up on my face. So I did have this hemmed too. The dress is soft, stretchy and pretty darn comfortable. I love that it is basic and neutral, so the possibilities are endless. I had it hemmed to a length that I could wear flat shoes with it. I mean, if your shoes are going to be hidden and the dress itself is so comfortable, may as well up the comfort factor. During the summer, I’ll opt for my sandals, but once the weather cools down, I’ll throw on a pair of flats.

Since hemming a few of my maxi dresses, I’m reformed. I’m like, how many more maxi dresses can I add to my closet?! Seriously so comfortable and worth the trip to the tailor.
