Petite-Friendly Linen Finds from Quince

Just like that – the sun is out and we’ve had a couple of days lately where the temps hit 80. It’s a welcome return of warm weather for me that has me dreaming of linen!

I love linen because it’s breathable, natural, and despite its undone wrinkled nature – it makes for a polished outfit. You can expect your linen outfits to wrinkle, but it’s also a fabric that gets better over time, softening with wear. Today I’m reviewing the petite fit of a few 100% linen pieces from Quince.

My Sizing: I’m 4’10”, and my bust, waist, and hip measurements are 32″, 24″, and 36″. My inseam is 25″ (the measurement from the inside of my leg to my ankle bone). The clothes shown are unaltered and show how they fit me right from the store. I list my sizing beside each item to help you compare when shopping online. When referencing my true size, that is often the smallest option available at a brand or petite xxs/00/24. I wear a size 5 shoe.

Linen Pants

Quince offers multiple styles of linen pants, but I’ve only had the chance to try the wide-leg style so far. This style has a stretch waist with a functional drawstring. The fit is generous – but I would consider it true to size. You’ll want a roomy breezy fit with linen pants. The pants are not petite but come in three inseam options. They start at 26″ but I chose the 28″ inseam for a full-length, bunchy look. I also tried the 26″ option and it comes to the top of my foot. You can see an example of that fit in the vide below. These pants come in multiple color options including this soft neutral Flax color that I’m wearing. I don’t find them to be sheer, but linen is often thinner, so I would choose nude undergarments with them.

The top I paired with them is my current top pick for a basic white top for summer. I love the boatneck and that it’s organic cotton! It’s not see-through and is stretchy and slim without being compressive. For size reference I’m wearing it in XS.

Linen Dress

This dress is the best dress I’ve ever purchased from Quince. It’s beautiful! I almost didn’t purchase it at all seeing how it fit the model online. It’s not a petite dress so I thought there was no way the straps would fit me. Turns out – the straps have three button hole options to shorten them. At the shortest option – the straps were still a tiny bit too long for me – so I just added a button hole. I’m not a seamstress but I’ve MacGyvered plenty of clothes in my day. Fitwise, the dress is perfect! The waist is a little bit stretchy and fits my waist well (I have a 24″ waist and am wearing XS). The skirt is full and twirly and it’s fully lined. It’s not one bit see-through and the straps are wide enough you can pull off a regular bra (depending on the style) with this dress. It’s a 10/10 I highly recommend it!

Linen Shorts

I will never forget how linen shorts saved me on my ultra-humid and hot trip to Disney last July. After that I was a convert and wanted to wear linen shorts as much as possible. They’ll keep you cool and dry even in the most brutal of summer heat. This pair from Quince has a stretch waist that you can dress up and down. Like the pants they are a little bit generous, but I would still choose your true size for a breezy fit. They’re not see-through – but I would recommend nude undergarments for the best look.

I paired them with a linen button-down. Although the sleeves fit me well on this top, some petites may find it to be a little long. I love to wear it open and relaxed like I am here, but I also plan to wear it with my bathing suit. Despite the length I’m still able to tuck into my pants and jeans as well.

I have been wanting to get back into YouTube for some time but have just struggled to figure out the logistics for it. So, I decided to just dive back in repurposing the video try-ons you often see on my Instagram and LTK and creating long form videos you can easily watch and rewatch. I made my last YT video about four years ago (so don’t watch that one – it’s quite literally embarrassing). My goal is to continue to be a resource for petites and I want to make it easy for you to find what you’re looking for when you visit my blog and socials. My blog is currently being redeveloped and I can’t wait for you to see it! It’s still several months out, but it will be a great place to find all of my petite finds and reviews, including my videos without the need to battle the social media algorithms and shifting feeds. You’ll always know where to find me. To compliment the new website I’m hoping by putting some of my try-on and review videos on YouTube you’ll be able to find them and rewatch them easier than you can on IG Stories and LTK. I’ll improve over time, and to be quite honest how many videos I can make a week or month may vary but as a first go I hope you love it!
