When LOFT has a 40% off sale, it’s a good day. Since, I can’t shop at the mall with my two bouncing boys, the last time LOFT had a 40% off everything sale, I ordered everything. No, not everything, but it was a big order. Of course, my intention was to try things on and only keep my favorites, but when everything is a favorite, it’s hard not to keep them all!! So, guess what, you’re going to be seeing a whole lot of LOFT this month, but trust me it’s good. So, my first favorite:

LOFT Drawstring Skirt
When I saw this skirt online I was immediately drawn to its print. Prints always get me, I’m not someone who is afraid of color or boldness. So I tossed it in my bag. When i first tried it on, I was a little worried that the material would wrinkle and wouldn’t be great for my everyday life, but the fit was so perfect and so comfortable, I decided to keep it and take a chance. I am so glad I did! This skirt, doesn’t wrinkle, like at all. Riding in the car, running errands; not one wrinkle. It’s pretty perfect. Plus, since LOFT is the bomb with their extended sizing, the petite version was the perfect length for me! The drawstring action makes it casual enough to wear with a pair of sandals, but you can also wear it with a pair of heels and wear it to church or work, like I did here. This skirt is true to size!
LOFT Bow Back Shell
Now, my next favorite from my order, was the bow back shell. Business in the front, party in the back. But, my favorite part is although it has a bow back, it’s not so much of a party that it’s not conservative. Since I’m the cami queen, I wore a white cami under mine which cut out some of the open back action at the bottom bow and allowed me to wear a normal bra. I almost sent this one back, not because I didn’t love it, but white can be so hard to keep around kids. But, it was just perfect with this skirt, so in my closet it stayed! In terms of sizing, this top is true to size.
Where I Wore It
I wore my new duds, this past Sunday on what I felt like was the busiest day ever. I initially put it on for church, then as we were almost heading out to the door, something terrible happened with my stomach, so we ended up staying back. Luckily, I started feeling better mid-day and caught lunch with my mom, then darted off to a bridal shower. After the shower, I stopped by my best friend’s house to do her hair and makeup for her engagement pictures! I love to play with hair and makeup, I’m no pro, but luckily my friends let me doll them up! After getting her ready, I met my hubby for these blog pics and then ran to pick up groceries. It was a day! And guess what? This skirt didn’t wrinkle at all! I’m so going to wear this skirt to church, work and to play!
Something kind of funny to mention is where I took these pictures. I’m not a city girl, I’ve mentioned that before on this blog. So, I’ve made a recent decision to try to take my blog pictures more in my little hometown, rather than the city, which is a good 45 minute drive for me. Plus, I feel like my hometown as a backdrop is just more me! But, the problem is, in a small town, everybody knows everyone. This little shop is on the main street in our town and although it’s currently vacant, I’ve always thought it would be the cutest backdrop for pictures. But, since it’s on the main street, that means everybody and their brother drives by it. I built up the courage to take those pictures as the cars drove by and I was pretty much dying of embarrassment over who was going to see me. Because I was so nervous and embarrassed, most of the pictures we took I was making the most awkward faces, lol. But, hey luckily some of them turned out!
I’ve been a long time fan of LOFT and although they don’t knock it out of the park every season, this spring and now going into their summer collection, I’ve been obsessed! I can’t wait to share all of the other cuties I picked up too, with you!
