In today’s post, I’m reviewing five pairs of pants perfect for your summer work wardrobe. They are all petite-friendly and make for great no-hem options for petites. I’m sharing all of them unaltered on me at 4’10”, but I’m also sharing the inseam measurements for each pair below because we can have different proportions and be similar in height.

Petite-Friendly Pants for Work
My Sizing: I’m 4’10”, and my bust, waist, and hip measurements are 32″, 24″, and 36″. My inseam is 25″ (the measurement from the inside of my leg to my ankle bone). The clothes shown are unaltered and show how they fit me right from the store. I list my sizing beside each item to help you compare when shopping online. When referencing my true size, that is often the smallest option available at a brand or petite xxs/00/24. I wear a size 5 shoe.
Inseam
I often use my height in my posts as a baseline just to let you know how tall I am. However, just because something fits me doesn’t mean it will fit you, even if we are the same height, or if you’re taller than me, due to proportions. There are definitely averages when it comes to inseams, but you have to know your own to have the best experience. The easiest way to measure your preferred inseam is on a pair of pants you already love the fit of. If you don’t have a pair that you like the length of I suggest cuffing them to the desired length, pinning it, and then measuring. You will measure the inside seam of the pants from the inner crotch seam to the bottom of the pants. This measurement will give you a good starting point – but don’t think you have to be exact, it’s just a good base point. Keep in mind that trousers sit lower on your bottom so a pair of trousers with an 11″ rise won’t sit as high on your torso as a pair of jeans with an 11″ rise. The inseam will also fit you longer, since the pants sit lower overall.
Abercrombie Sloan Trousers
- Inseam: 28.25″ in short
- Fit: True to size
The Sloan Trousers are a classic wide-leg style from Abercrombie. They have a high rise and in short, they have a 28.25″ inseam. I can wear them bunchy with a pair of flats or with a pair of heels. The Sloan Trousers, in general, are a favorite of mine. They’re a well-balanced, wide-leg style that isn’t too wide and drapes nicely. I have them in a few colors and love this navy and white pinstripe option. I prefer the high rise option, but the Sloan Trousers also come in a low rise style.

Abercrombie Harper Trousers
- Inseam: 28.5″ in short
- Fit: True to size
The Harper Trousers from Abercrombie are a high-rise, wide-leg style. They come in inseam options, with short being the shortest. In short, they have a 28.5″ inseam, which works best for me with a low 1″ heel. Despite needing a low heel, they are overall true to size. The waistband is flat in the front and elastic at the back, making them a very comfortable option. These are very similar to the popular Sloan Trousers from Abercrombie, but the difference is this style has a single pleat instead of two (which makes them less puffy) and they are 1/4″ longer than the Sloan trousers.

Abercrombie Mid-Rise Linen Pants
- Inseam: 28.5″ in short
- Fit: True to size
My mid-rise fans are going to love these 9.5″ rise trousers. In short they have a 28.5″ inseam, and are overall true to size. The linen on the pants is soft and thick, so they’re not see-through. I wouldn’t consider them to be see-through, but in butter yellow I would recommend wearing them with nude undergarments. If trendy yellow isn’t your favorite, the pants also come in two other color options. The included belt is detachable, but the belt loops are skinny, like the belt.

Gap 365 Trousers
- Inseam: 27.5 – 28″ in petite, there is some variation in inseam length with different colors.
- Fit: True to size
The 365 Trousers come in multiple colors and fabrics. They have a comfortable stretch waistband and this pair is lightweight linen. In petite the pleated trousers have a 28″ inseam and an 11″ rise. To note, there is some variation in the inseam with different colors, the navy pair I’m wearing in the post has a 27.5″ inseam. They’re true to size overall and have a generous loose fit through the hips and legs.

WHBM Tapered Pants
- Inseam: 25″ in petite
- Fit: True to size
The Tapered Ankle Pants from White House Black Market have a great fit and the fabric is lightweight and summer-ready. They’re also stretchy, so they’re very comfortable, and the fabric isn’t wrinkle-prone. I’m wearing them in my true size, and they fit well, but I think I could also size up and find a comfortable fit.
