I’ve been testing out a variety of spring shoes to find a handful of styles that pass both the comfort and versatility test. In today’s post, I’m sharing the five pairs of shoes I’ll be wearing all spring and summer—styles that are easy to pair with everything from casual outfits to more polished looks.

The 5 Shoes I’ll Be Wearing All Spring and Summer

My Sizing: I’m 4’10”, and my bust, waist, and hip measurements are 32″, 24″, and 36″. My inseam is 25″ (the measurement from the inside of my leg to my ankle bone). The clothes shown are unaltered and show how they fit me right from the store. I list my sizing beside each item to help you compare when shopping online. When referencing my true size, that is often the smallest option available at a brand or petite xxs/00/24. I wear a size 5 shoe.

Dolce Vita Kenley Sandals in Saddle Leather

I like to have one pair of strappy go with everything sandals in the spring and summer. I go for an option that can be dressed up and down and pair with everything from shorts to dresses. The Kenley Sandals from Dolce Vita are neatral and have a small gold accent for a little bit of added interest. They come in several colors and I chose the cognac/saddle option because it pairs with the bags I’ll carry the most this season. As a little warning, these shoes were very uncomofrotable at first for me. I almost wasn’t sure I could recommend them, but after a few wears around the house they have loosened to a comfortable fit. They are true to size and start at a size 5.

Woven Ballet Flats – J.Crew Factory

I love wearing neutral ballet flats, especially during the spring season. These woven flats from J.Crew Factory are a great neutral option but add a little extra interest with their textured, woven design.

They were comfortable right out of the box, and because the material is mesh, they should work well into the summer months too. They fit true to size and start at size 5, which is great if you also have smaller feet.

Madewell Mylie Ballet Flats

Not that you necessarily need two neutral ballet flats, but I really like the Mylie Ballet Flats for transitional weather. They come in several colors, but Tawny Khaki is a great option that works well in both spring and fall.

I also like the modern shape of these flats. They have a slightly squared toe and come up a bit higher on the foot, which gives them a more updated look. They fit true to size and start at size 5.

There was a short break-in period for me. At first, they rubbed slightly at my ankle, but the material softened quickly with wear and became comfortable.

Dark Wash Wide-Leg Jeans: Quince 24 x 28″ in Midnight Blue | White T-Shirt: Quince XS Striped Button Down Top: LOFT Petite XXS | Beige Sweater: Quince XS in Speckled Beige | Flats | Straw Bag | Earrings | Jacket Petite XXS

Gola Badminton Sneakers

The Gola Badminton Sneakers are a pair I wear year-round. I love them for their slim profile, and in the spring and summer I especially like that they have more white than my Gola Elan sneakers.

They’re comfortable and easy to walk in, and they fit my size 5 foot really well. I have the pair with navy accents, which works nicely with my wardrobe, but they’re also available in several other color combinations.

Navy Crepe Wide-Leg Pants: Artizia XXS Short in Admiral  | T-Shirt Petite XS | Jacket XS | Sneakers | Sling Bag | Hat | Earrings | Navy Slim Pants Petite 0 | Gray Top XXS |  Suitcase

Hoka Bondi Sneakers

For activewear outfits and summer adventures, I love my Hoka Bondi sneakers. They fit true to size and start at size 5. They’re incredibly comfortable and supportive—I’ve walked miles in them and they’ve kept my feet feeling great.

Skort XS | Shorts XS | Tank Top XS | Shoes tts | Bag | Sunglasses

Another contender for strappy sandals is this pair from Tkees. If you’re looking for a waterproof option for the beach or pool, this pair is a great choice.

Those are the five pairs of shoes I’ll be reaching for all spring and summer. I like to keep my shoe lineup simple with options that work across a lot of outfits—from dresses and shorts to activewear and everyday looks.
