It has been a while since I posted anything fitness related. I know, my bad. It’s not because I haven’t been working out, I love to workout, it’s because I haven’t been inspired to put together any workouts of my own. I’ve been finding inspiration other places and really having fun with it. So, here’s what I’ve been up to – the best part, all of these workouts are free!

The Best Free at Home Workouts

The best free at home workouts

1. The Tone It Up Girls

The Tone It Up girls are so fun! I’m sure you’ve heard of them, their community is huge! I love their free workouts and workout schedules, but I’ve also purchased some of their workouts. Something about being on the beach, makes the workout feel like more fun. They do a lot of plank work and booty work, which I love! Lately, they’ve also been doing a lot of live workouts on Instagram, that you can do right along with them or catch later on their website. I tend to catch them later because of the difference in time zones, but those workouts have become my favorite! I love this Barre workout and this booty workout!

2. Blogilates

Cassey Ho is full of personality! I’ll be shaking and she is just smiling away. Although most of her workouts are pilates based, she offers other forms of fitness, like fun dance cardio videos! Cassey also offers workout schedules, so you know what to do each day. My favorite thing about Cassey’s workouts are her instructions, she cues you on good form the entire time, which helps prevent injuries. My favorite videos from her are this killer ab, butt and thighs workout and this leg workout.

3. Run/Walk

If you’re not into YouTube, the best free workout you can do, is go out for a walk or run! I used to love running, but I’m much more of a walking girl now. It’s also fun to include the family, we love to take after dinner walks together!

4. Dance

I’ve mentioned before how much I love to dance. Dancing is by far my favorite form of cardio. I love to turn up my Spotify and break it down, but I also love following dance tutorials on YouTube. Some of my favorites come from Saskia’s Dance School (Saskia’s Dansschool).

5. Pinterest

Pinterest is overflowing with workout inspiration. Sometimes the picture based workouts can be a little hard to follow, but they allow you a little flexibility in your location and even, your own music! You can also mix and match your favorite moves. A few workouts Erica and I put together that are popular on Pinterest, are this stair workout, this mommy and me workout, and this Kettle Bell workout.

My Workout Routine

I love to mix and match my routine! I was working out 5-6 days a week earlier this year (ya’ know, bikini season), but I started to have a lot of aches and pain, especially neck pain and headaches. Most of my pain issues were coming from getting lazy with form and also being lazy about stretching. So, I started backing down on my workouts and now aim for 3-4 days a week, and have also upped my stretching game. So far, that’s working well for me! Y’all know I love a good morning sweat session, so the days that I’m taking off feel kind of strange to me, but I do love having a little extra time to catch up on something else, sometimes that something else is sleep!
